4th Year

It happens to be my absolute favorite time of the year! Everyone is happy, the house is so beautifully decorated, everyone is baking like crazy and it is so fun buying gifts for others. I really think Christmas is a time for everyone to take a step back and appreciate everyone in your life. Last night we had our annual girls christmas dinner. It started four years ago when we decided instead of giving 12 gifts to all of our girlfriends we should have a potluck and just be together for a night. And so it was formed the Annual Girls Christmas Dinner! It is getting harder every year to get everyone together. With three of the girls engaged and planning their weddings it gets tougher every year to pick a day and time for everyone to get together. WE are all getting so grown up so quickly! It really all happened about a year ago when everyone started getting engaged. In about a year we will probably have some pregnancies :) I love my girlfriends more than you know and am so blessed to have such supportive friends. The crazy part of this is I have more BEST girlfriends from adpi so I didn't have all of my best friends with me. I am so blessed and thankful for all of them. One of my girlfriends asked me about Tyler leaving and when I started talking about the drive home when I take him to the airport, my friend said you know what you have 10 girls right here waiting by the phone if you need us. It melted my heart and made me realized how lucky I really am. Here is a picture below of some of my best friends that were at the Christmas party. I love my life and am so thankful for my gorgeous friends and family! Can't wait till Christmas! p.s. Tyler will be at our house Christmas morning :) A first in our relationship and it gives me butterflies after 7 years we still have very exciting events ahead of us! Love him like crazy!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Now What?

Life is flying by quicker than I can catch up with. Its already December 9th and that means we are only weeks away from Christmas. Life has been so busy for the last few weeks with Thanksgiving, the wedding, and other showers it all came to a screeching halt this week. I am now back to the regular day to day world and I have to say I miss all of the crazy upcoming events we have. Yes we have Christmas, but Brittany will be at her In-laws (still so fun to say) house for Christmas. In all of my 23 years I have never had a Christmas without my sister, it will be really different but I am so happy she gets to experience married life! She will be missed but we will see her hopefully right after Christmas!

Then comes New Years and then comes doomsday, January 11th. This is the day I have been saying for about 7 months now. This is the day Ty will leave for school. I am so excited for him to begin, because I know the sooner he starts the sooner the countdown for him to be done will begin. It will be a very interesting few years coming up, but I know it will make us stronger in the end and allow us to work on our careers and goals for a while. He is truly my other half, the days or nights that each other is working, we find each other constantly calling asking when the other will be done. Probably a good thing he is moving to another country where phone calls are expensive. I would be a HUGE distraction :) I am just going to have to take up some things that interest me. For example: I would love to become a runner!!! or I would love to learn how to sew. Thats just a couple ideas. We laughed last night talking about if we won the lottery what would be different. It is so fun to dream about the lottery and what you could do with the money. I would probably stop working :) and start volunteering A LOT! I love volunteering and wish I could do it everyday. I would also start to travel A TON!!! Spend many days with my family! Some of my favorite times are just sitting around and laughing. One of my favorite nights ever with them was just this thanksgiving, where we broke adam into our crazy family. We were watching a Beyonce special, and yes Brittany and I were FORCED into doing/attempting the single ladies dance. Trust me!!! It looks a lot harder than you think! I would also love to buy a cute little beach house, maybe like this below. So when I say cute little those are just two words I love to use together :)

Anyways, Life is great and I am so thankful for everyone that is in my life. It could not get any better :)

The New Mrs. Laws!

The day as come and passed so quickly! Brittany is now a married women and is now Brittany Laws! I am so excited for her and for her future with Adam. He is such a great guy that I know he will make Brittany happier than anyone else could! We love him. The wedding planning was a lot. You don't realize how much time, money and stress comes with it and I wasn't even the Bride. It was a great experience for me to go through and the day was beautiful! Everything looked great and was pretty perfect. The photographer that I am obsessed with was britt's photographer and was of course so amazing! She posted pictures already for a quick sneak peek and they were beautiful. Megphoto.com

Fall is here!

It has taken until October 17th to be slightly cool and now its dropping to the 40's tonight! I was saying yesterday, Starting the day it gets cold in October begins my favorite time of year. I LOVE the weather, the smell of fall, the excitement building up for Christmas. These next few months are going to really fly by! Brittany's wedding is almost exactly one month away and that means we will be SOOO busy. Right after Brittany's wedding comes Thanksgiving and then Christmas. I can't believe it is already here. I have to say I am really excited for these next few months, but at the same time I am hoping it slows down because that means its Ty's time to leave for Medical School.

Today I had a little snapping moment in the car when I realized it was almost 3 years he will be gone. WIth breaks in between, but I did not react well to it. Ty is so great being supportive and reassuring, but I would like for him to say every once in a while THIS WILL REALLY STINK. I know he is so excited and I am excited for him, but September 2012 is when is will be done in Grenada. If I can just make it till then, I will be a happy girl. He constantly makes me laugh and it will be hard not having him.

Some of the things I absolutely love, that are very simple things in life:
Candles in the dark or rain
lamps in kitchens
wearing socks to bed..but then they fall off :)
Brushing my teeth in the shower
Fires in the fireplace
my blanket :)

Not ready to go back to work tomorrow but I really do appreciate my job and the life it is providing me. Not my dream job, but I do enjoy it.

Have a great week, Happy Fall!

Forgotten Blog

So I realized today when telling my brother taht I have a blog and he asked for the site name (that i could not remember) that it was time to go on and post!!!

Life has been moving at a super fast pace!
Its already July and my work begins to pick back up to the busy season in late August. Not excited about it because I have been ending work almost everyday around 530 or 6 at the latest. The busy season will be back to 11PM :( Not exciting!

I went on a cruise! It was a great time, but now almost a month later I found out I have MRSA probably from the cruise :( Luckily it was caught VERY early and you can't even tell anything is wrong. NO open wounds nothing Im just ichy. Here are some pictures below.

Things I am looking forward to in the next month or so:
*I am going on a vacation with the Manis family, just very excited for a vacay. I am turning off my work phone and setting a out of the office message and taking 5 days completly away from work! Scary becuase I know I will have hundreds of emails.
*We are having a shower for Brittany soon, and her wedding is only 5 months away!! can't wait.
*Excited for ALL of my family to be in Orlando for Bri's wedding! It will be such a fun time, also taking work off for that :) haha!

Here are some pictures from our cruise, great time but now wish I didn't have itchy skin :(

Tyler keeps calling me MRS. A... Really fun huh???? He better not make too many jokes or he will get it next! KARMA!

The Clouds are rolling in...

Its about 430 on Thursday, (my new favorite day, becuase usually I am in the office Friday and then its the weekend) and I am sitting in my "office" (enclosed porch in the back of my house)

and its about to rain! When it rains in the day it brings back one memory, college.

You might wonder why rain reminds me of college, but every time it would rain some how or another my two roommates (hope & beth) and I would always end up back in pink Lovey (the name we had for our triple room in adpi). We would lay in our very small but comfy twin beds and light candles while we laid in bed watching movies. Sleeping in the rain in the afternoon is one of the most peaceful things I know of. It reminds me of college and the great memories I have from FSU.

I am so lucky to have found my job almost a year ago now! Can you believe its almost been a year! Even though I whine about how crazy busy I am, I am now into summer!!!! Which means I work from home probably 4 out of 5 days! SO EXCITED about it! I am so lucky to have my office surronded by windows, and flowers. I have a cute white desk with pictures right in front of me. I will take pictures when there aren't a million papers on it! (I have a work mailbox at the UPS store and havent been to it in probably about 3 weeks! I was hoping if I just didn't go the packages and letters would stop coming....They didn't and now they are on my desk)
Anyways, I am very excited for the two hour greys anatomy season finale. (2 hours!!!) I am sad becuase i think Izzie will die tonight, it will be a tear jerker for sure!!
I hope you are in as peaceful of a spot as I am right now. I can feel the wind getting colder and the clouds are starting to get darker, it feels like Pink Lovey and it makes me happy but a bit sad because I wish everyday I could be back there.
Love you all Enjoy the Rain.......
By the way I have to say I am so proud of my Mammaw! Hi Mammaw!
She has become so tech savy, she reads my blog now and looks at Tanners school website. She is so fancy, and I am so proud! Whats next Mammaw are you going to start Video chatting with all of your friends?

My first session!

As a mother's day gift to Tyler's mom, I took pictures of Tyler and his two sisters. They turned out great! We printed them and framed them and she just loved them. I absolutely loved taking their pictures and can't wait to take more. Here are a few pictures from the day.

Brittany is getting married!

Brittany's bridesmaid held an engagement dinner for Brittany and Adam in Tampa last month. It was a great night. Almost all of Brittany's bridesmaids were there and most of the groomsman came as well. Brittany and Adam are getting married in November and we are very excited for the wedding. The party was at Tina Tapas in Tampa. Tyler and I drove up from Orlando for the night!

Surprise we are in Quincy!

Last month my sister Brittany and I met my dad in St. Louis. My brother Tanner knew my dad was coming but had no idea about Brittany and I. We drove about 2 hours to get to Quincy and went to Jimmy Johns to surprise Tanner. Tanner was having lunch with his friends when we walked in. He was expecting my dad but he had to do a few double takes to catch who we were. It was a great surprise! We got to watch Tanner play 2 matches at Quincy. I absolutely love to surprise people. Its something about the build up and then the look on their face when you walk in.

Tanner warming up before the game. He was warned that the paparazzi would be out in full force.

Tanners humble abode!

Tanner is #2 on the left!

The bridge over the Mississippi in Quincy! You would not expect to see a bridge this size in Quincy would you?! I have to add this might be a picture from Brittany's photography skills. I believe Brittany and I took around 4, 500 pictures out the car window while my dad was driving.

Quincy University. Such a pretty building!

Brittany and I were obsessed with these trees. They were everywhere. We couldn't stop talking pictures of them!

Brittany, Dad and I at the game!

Tanner doesn't show emotions during games.

Again, its really hard for us to see how Tanner is feeling during these games :)
